Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test substance to microorganisms was investigated in a GLP compliant guideline study according to OECD 209 with domestic activated sludge as inoculum (BASF AG 2001). At test termination after 180 min an EC20 of 100 mg/L (nominal) was derived.

Two additional studies conducted according to OECD guideline 209 support these results with EC20 values ranging from 800 to > 1000 mg/L after 30 minutes [BASF AG 1989, BASF AG 1991]. Another oxygen consumption test according to ROBA comes up with an EC50 value > 10000 mg/L after an exposure period of 17 h [BASF AG 1989].
