Conclusions:
The test item was examined for acute toxicity to freshwater fish in a 96-h static test according to OECD Guideline 203 and EU method C.1. The test item caused no mortality up to a nominal concentration of 500 mg/L. Thus, the 96-h LC50 was determined to be greater than 500 mg/L.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of the test item to fish (zebrafish) was determined according to the OECD Guideline 203 and EU method C.1.

A static test was performed as a limit test with a concentration of 500 mg/L. Ten test organisms were exposed to the test concentration and the control, respectively. Mortality, visible abnormalities and changes in behaviour were determined after 2-4, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours. The water quality parameters pH-value, temperature and oxygen saturation were measured after 0, 2-4, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h.

The measured concentration of the test item was greater than 80% of the nominal value.

Test organisms exposed to 500 mg/L of the test item showed partly changes in behaviour and appearance as well as an impaired breathing. The test item caused no mortality up to a nominal concentration of 500 mg/L. Thus, the 96-h LC50 was determined to be greater than 500 mg/L.
