Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Terracess TF-S: 49% by mass of is smaller than 10µm

Terracess TF-L  10% = 8.079 µm, 50% = 27.184 µm and 90% = 62.065 µm

Additional information

Terracess TF is manufactured in two grades:

Terraces TF-S = small particles

Terracess TF-L = large particles

Where TF-S: 3-11 µm and TF-L: 15-45 µm

The only difference between TF-S and TF-L is particle size. Most tests undertaken in supported of the registration of Terracess TF will not be affected by changes in particle size, except for inhalation toxicity studies which are carried out using TF-S because its particle size is smaller.

Both grades of Terracess TF are used in the manufacture of brake linings.
