First-aid measures

After inhalation:Provide fresh air. After contact with skin:Wash with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Seek medical attention if symptoms occur or persist. After contact with eyes:Rinse immediately carefully and thoroughly with eye-bath or water. Consult an ophthalmologist. After ingestion:Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Call a physician immediately.Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:Suitable extinguishing media:Atomized water. Extinguishing powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Foam.Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings.Unsuitable extinguishing media:High power water jet.Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide. Nitrogen oxides (NOx).Advice for firefighters:In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Full protective suit.Additional information:Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers.

Accidental release measures

Provide adequate ventilation. If handled uncovered, arrangements with local exhaust ventilation should be used if possible.Use personal protection equipment. Eye glasses with side protectionTested protective gloves are to be worn:The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves.Wear suitable protective clothing. In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection. Filter type: A, half-mask with filter (DIN EN 149).No special environmental measures are necessary. Clean contaminated objects and areas thoroughly observing environmental regulations.Absorb material with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, universal binding agents). Treat the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal.

Handling and storage

Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Keep away from incompatible materials.Keep container tightly closed. Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Protect against direct sunlight. The substance must be handled under strictly controlled conditions as laid out in Article 18 paragraph 4 REACH-regulation.DETAILED information on risk management measures recommended to the user in accordance with Art. 18 paragraph 4 and ECHA REACH Guidance on intermediates (2010), Annex 3 and practical guide 16 (2014) is attached to section 13 of the IUCLID dossier.
