First-aid measures

General information: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Ensure that the First Aid Personnel are aware of the product involved, and take precautions to protect themselves (e.g. wear personal protection equipment).
After inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air.
After contact with skin: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Call a physician if irritation persists.
After contact with eyes: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
In case of irritation consult an occulist
After ingestion: If swallowed, call a poison control centre or doctor immediately. Treat symptomatically.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms: The possible symptoms known are those derived from the labelling: skin sensitisation, eye damage (see section 2).
Hazards: No additional hazards are known except those derived from the labelling.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: Treat symptomatically

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Product is compatible with standard fire-fighting agents.
Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: No restrictions
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as:
Carbon oxides
Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Sulphur oxides
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information: Cool container and metallic parts with a water spray jet

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear suitable protective equipment. Keep away sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Pick up mechanically. Rinse away rest with water. After processing, clean all equipment with the following: Water
Additional information: Take up as such and consider recycling. Do not empty into drains. Do not dispose of waste into sewer.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Handle and open container with care. Avoid dust formation. Avoid dust accumulation in enclosed space. Provide adequate ventilation. Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge.
Hygiene measures: Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Potential dust explosion hazard. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Avoid dust formation.
Dust explosion class : not tested.

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep only in the original container.
Advice on storage compatibility: Avoid storage near incompatible agents. Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs
Further information on storage conditions: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls: Use with local exhaust ventilation.
General protective measures: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Respiratory protection : In case of dust formation, use a fine dust face mask.
Hand protection : Protective gloves. Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
Eye protection : safety glasses/face shield
Body protection : working clothes

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Risk of dust explosion.
Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Risk of dust explosion.
Conditions to avoid: Keep away from heat. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Incompatible materials:  not known
Hazardous decomposition products: When used and handled as intended, none.
