Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The inhibitory effect of the test item Navy MGi 1571 on the respiration rate of aerobic wastewater microorganisms of activated sludge was investigated in a 3 hour respiration inhibition test according to the OECD Guideline No. 209.
The following nominal concentrations of Navy MGi 1571 were tested: 11, 34, 110, 340 and 1100 mg/L lcorresponding to 10, 32, 100, 320, and 1000 mg/L without water content; the test concentrations were corrected for the water content of the test item of 10 %).
Concentrations exceeding 1100 mg/L were not tested.
ln addition, two controls and three different concentrations of the reference item 3,5-dichlorophenol (5, 16 and 50 mg/L) were tested in parallel. The results of these treatments confirmed the suitability of the activated sludge and the method used. Up to and including the concentration of 340 mg/L the test item Navy MGi 1571 had no siinificant inhibitóry effect (<15 %) on the respiration rate of activated sludge after the inðubation period of three hours. At the highest test item concentrations of 1100 mg/L the inhibitory effect was 15.9 %.
The calculated 3-hour EC-values and their 95% confidence limits were as follows:
NOEC: 929 mg/L
EC50:> 1100 mg/L
