classification according to GHS

Based on the available data Fatty acid C18- unsat, dimer compd. with coco alkylamine is considered to be not biodegradable and has low to moderated potential for bioaccumulation. The short-term aquatic toxicity L(E)C50s are in a range of 0.393 - 55 mg/L for fish, invertebrates and algae. Valid long-term toxicity data are only available for algae showing an EC10 of 0.091 mg/L. Additional long term data for the ecotoxicity driving component (coco alkylamine) with 0.03 mg/L is available.

 

Thus, the substance has to be classified and labeled with regard to long term toxicity with Cat. Chronic 2 and with regard to acute toxicity in Category Acute 1 according to the Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2011 (2nd ATP).

Based on the available data, Fatty acid C18- unsat, dimer compd. with coco alkylamine is considered to be not readily biodegradable and has a low potential for bioaccumulation. Thus, the substance has to be classified and labeled as R50/53 for the environment according to Directive 67/548/EEC.
