- The terrestrial toxicity of silica to terrestrial arthropods is expected to be low, since soil-living species are well adapted to the presence of silica in the soil and soil pore water. Based on already existing
exposure and effects information, it is currently not seen as necessary to have any targeted ecotoxicological testing of silica fume for this endpoint
