Description of key information
According to REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VIII, column 2, section 9.3.1 experimental testing was waived as the physical/chemical nature of DDACarbonate (surface active properties and high solubility in octanol and water) does not allow for experimental determination of the log Koc. Instead the absorption coefficient was estimated to be Koc = 1.10E+06 (log Koc = 6.04).
The calculated Koc value was confirmed in a study according to U.S. EPA-FIFRA N-163-1 40 CFR, Sec. 158.130 and 158.50 using the structural analog Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC).
