Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
activated sludge, domestic
Details on inoculum:
Activated sludge was derived from predominantly domestic sewage. The sludge was washed with distilled water.

Study design

Test type:
static
Water media type:
freshwater
Total exposure duration:
3 h

Test conditions

Details on test conditions:
For exposure synthetic sewage feed and an adequate amount of the stock solution were mixed and filled up to 300 mL with distilled water. 200 mL of activated sludge were added. The mix was aerated at a rate of 1 L/min for 3 hours at 20 °C. After aeration the oxygen consumption was measured for 10 min.
