Description of key information

According to Q(SAR) data using SRC AOP, 2 -EHA will be degraded by photochemical processes after exposure to the air reacting with the photochemically produced hydroxyl radicals and with ozone (calculated half-life for a 24-hour day and 5E05OH/cm3: 19.2 hours;for a 24-hour day and 7E11 O3/cm3: 6.5 days).

In a hydrolysis study conducted by BASF AG (1998), the half-life of 2 -EHA in water at pH 7 was determined to be approximately 9 d (= 210 h). Therefore, the substance will hydrolyse slowly in contact with water.
