Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The log Pow of Glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts is > 8.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The HPLC method according to OECD 117 was applied to measure the log Pow of Glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts. Due to analytical difficulties the log Pow value was estimated by using literature data for free citric and lactic acid as well as for fatty acids and glycerol. Further on the substance consists of appr. 50 % of partial glycerides of which the monoglycerides have log Pow of 5.2 (C16) to 6.6 (C18) and the di- and triglycerides have values above 12.

The log Pow values of citric di- and triesters of partial glycerides are estimated by EPISuite to be also above 11.

The overall log Pow of Glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts was estimated to be > 8.
