Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Solid: The substance will not melt under the decomposition temperature of about 245°C, so the vapour pressure will be low. Based on its multiple carboxylic acid salt functionality the pure substance will exhibit negligible vapor pressure. Because of its high polarity the substance always contains a few % of water so the vapour pressure exhibited by this substance is expected to be that of the adherent water.

Liquid: The vapour pressure of the 48% aqueous solution of EDTA-MnK2 is expected to be comparable or slightly lower than water

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

For the solid substance EDTA-MnK2 the endpoint can be waived.

Liquid Read across: The vapour pressure of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, copper diammonium complex, 55% aqueous solution at 20°C is 2.03 ± 0.05 kPa, which is slightly lower than that of pure water (vapour pressure of water is 2.23 kPa at 20°C)
