Description of key information

The DSC-measurements in closed glass crucibles showed an exothermal decomposition in the temperature range 170 - 360 °C with decomposition energy of 437 J/g or 468 J/g, respectively.
Non-explosive when subjected to shock and friction.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Study conducted to EU test guidance 92/69/EEC part A14 in compliance with GLP and reported with GLP certificate.

Non-explosive when subjected to shock and friction. Minor results were seen with the substance when subjected to thermal strain; however as the tube did not fragment, these are not considered to be indicative of explosive effects.
