Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is inorganic

Description of key information

Urea sulphate is dissolved and dissociated in aqueous solution into protonated urea and sulphate. Urea has a log Kow= -2.11 and sulphate is an inorganic anion and therefore partition coefficient cannot be measured.  For environment exposure, the partition coefficient for urea is used.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The octanol/water partition coefficient for urea was estimated using QSAR. The logKow is -2.11.
