Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Stability is not a critical property and may not be further examined. Please see below the OECD 310 for 2-methylcyclohexanone which was performed in order to assess the aerobic biodegradability.

The biodegradation percentage of the test item 2-methylcyclohexanone during the test is summarized in the following table:

Check Point (Days)

% OF BIODEGRADATION Reference substance

% OF BIODEGRADATION Test substance

Conclusion: The 2-methylcyclohexanone is readily biodegradable.

Additional information

Based on the OECD 310: 2014 report the test item "2-methylcyclohexanone" is readily biodegradable in aerobic conditions since the test item passet 60% within 10d window. Moreover, 2-methylcyclohexanone at 28 days biodegraded at 90%.
