Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Acute toxicity tests have been carried out for both fish, crustaceans and algae. No effects at test concentrations were observed. To be mentioned however is that according to the disseminated dossier at ECHA’s site for the substance (85049 -31 -6) to which read-across is made, then two sets of acute tests are reported. One of the two sets is also included in the present dossier, at which no acute effects are observed in any of the test. But the dissiminated dosser at ECHA's site do also include acute tests for algae, crustaceans, fish, where effects on both algae and crustaceans are observed at high loading rates of WAF, indicating the the registered substance actually may have effects on algae and crustaceans at concentrations below the water solubility. It is not straight-forward to explain the discrepancy as the same guidelines are used. One reason could be that the WAF used in the test contained undissolved substance which may have caused physical effets on the test species. However, we assume the tests reporten in the present dossier are correct and therefore we conclude that no acute effects were observed in any of the acute toxicity testing. Based on a read-across to other similar substances, we also assess that the registered substance does not have any long-term effects on the reproduction of crustaceans.
