Justification for classification or non-classification
The eye and skin irritation potential of 'soybean oil, deodorizer distillates' can be assessed based on information on the individual constituents. Studies conducted on the various components suggest that these are not irritating to skin and eyes. Overall, the weight of evidence suggests that soybean oil does not present skin or eye irritation potential.
Exposure via the inhalation route is not expected given the low vapour pressure of the substance and its non-homogenous liquid to semi-solid form.
Based on the above information, the substance is not considered to require classification for skin or eye irritation according to Directive 67/548/EC or Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
