Remarks on result:
other: The test item melted, burned with an orange and blue flame and turned into a black residue
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test over 100 mm length
Burning time:
> 45 s
Remarks on result:
other: Based on this result, the test item is considered 'not flammable'

Any other information on results incl. tables

The time of burning over a distance of 100 mm was measured (6 times) after the pile had burned a distance of 80 mm is shown in the table underneath.

Test number  Time of burning (s)

 2  49
 3  49
 4  66
 5  57
 6  57

The test item burned with a flame and the time of burning was more than 45 seconds. Based on the results obtained, the test item is considered 'not flammable'. The wetted zone applied in the burning rate test did not stop the combustion.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The burning rate test was performed to determine the flammability of Oxy-Pyrion. The test item burned with a flame and the time of burning was more than 45 seconds. Based on the results obtained, the test item is considered 'not flammable'.
