Drying loss

The drying loss of the substance was determined using the drying balance. The result was a value of 0.30 %.

Preliminary test

About 30 g of the test item were used to form the test pile (excess substance included).

After the flame application to one end of the pile an achromatic melted mass was visible. This mass could not be ignited.

> According to the test guideline execution of the main test was not necessary.

Concluding result

·    The test item "potassium hexafluorophosphate is not highly flammable according to the definition in Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, method A.10.
