Executive summary:

Method:

The substance was tested for short-term toxicity on fish according to the guideline DIN 38 412 part 15. Tested concentrations were 0, 46.4, 100, 215, 464, and 1000 mg/L for 96 hours, using 10 fish per concentration. Observations were done 1, 4, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h after start of exposure.

Results:

NOEC = 215 mg/L

LC0 = 464 mg/L

LC50 ca. 1000 mg/L

LC100 > 1000 mg/L

During test period, the glass aquarium was intensely coloured and cloudy increasing with an increase in the concentration. The symptoms observed were apathy, tumbling, narcotic state.
