Additional information

Acid Black 234 is a solid powder odourless, which decomposes before melting at 190°C, very soluble and with a very low Kow.

The particle size distribution was analyzed and the D50 resulted ca. 54.15 um.

Since it is a solid, properties like vapor pressure and flash point can be waived.

It is considered not flammable, oxidizing or explosive. These properties have been considered in read across from acid black 210, a very similar substance, where a nitro group is missing on the most external part of the molecule. Phys-chem properties for the two substances are pratically identical (see table below); the missing nitro group can only lower the risk for flammability and explosion, therefore the experimental results for Acid Black 210 f can be assumed to be a good evalution also for Acid Black 234.
