The toxicity of the test substance was studied in an acute test on Daphnia magna in a limit test according to OECD 202. The organisms were exposed to a saturated solution of hydroxyprogesteronacetate over 48 hours. No adverse effects were observed. The EC50 ws higher than a saturated solution (study no. TX94276, Schering AG, 22 Feb 1995).

The study was conducted under GLP.

The toxicity of the test substance was also tested on bacterial microroganisms (Pseudomonas putida) according to the method DIN 38412, L8. The microorganisms were incubated with the test substance over a period of 16 hours. The EC10 for population growth was higher than a saturated solution (Schering AG, X016, 27 Jul 1995).

The study was conducted under GLP.
