The results of the acute fish toxicity test conducted accordingly to OECD Guideline 203 were as follows:

48 h LC50 244 mg/L (mortality)

96 h LC50 244 mg/L (mortality)

96 h LC100 283 mg/L (mortality)

96 h NOEC 200 mg/L

The results of the acute Daphnia toxicity test conducted according to OECD Guideline 202 were as follows:

24 h EC50 > 1000 mg/L

48 h EC50 > 1000 mg/L

48 h EC100 > 1000 mg/L

48 h NOEC 100 mg/L

Under the conditions of the study with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 201, no reduction of growth rate or inhibition of yield was recorded at any of the concentrations of isobutylisopropyldimethoxysilane tested. The EC50 for growth rate reduction (72h-ERC50) and yield inhibition (72h-EYC50) was beyond the range tested, i.e. exceeded an average concentration of 1.4 mg/l. Due to the very low solubility of isobutylisopropyldimethoxysilane in water, concentration levels that might be toxic for algae could not be reached.
