Description of key information

Partially unsaturated IQAC, DMS quaternised is not oxidising.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

The oxidizing properties of the test item were investigated in a study conducted according to EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids)) and Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, 30 May 2008, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.17 'Oxidizing properties (solids)'. All burning rates were lower than the burning rate of the reference mixtures (barium nitrate/cellulose) with the highest burning rate. Based on these results, the test substance can be regarded as having no oxidizing properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Partially unsaturated IQAC, DMS quaternised has no oxidising properties according to EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids)) and Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, 30 May 2008, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.17 'Oxidizing properties (solids)'.
