The intermediate called PRODUCT L6143 is mainly composed of Amides, vegetable oil, N, N-bis(hydroxyethyl) at ca 86%. This component cannot be well defined on chain lenghts, number of insaturations and types of fatty acids. In fact, the term "vegetable oil" is used to describe this main component. To understand the environmental behaviour of the intermediate PRODUCT L6143, this major component can be taken in to account, but unfortunately, no data are available, with the exception of similar substances with a defined number of carbons and insaturations:

Amides, C8-18 (even numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl), CAS 68155-07-7

Amides, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl), CAS 68603-38-3

Lauramide diethanolamine (LDEA) CAS 120-40-1

Amides, C12-18 (even-numbered) and C18 (unsatd.), N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl), CAS 90622-74-5

Coconut fatty acid diethanolamide,Amides, coco, N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl)CAS 68603-42-9

Amides, soya, N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl), CAS68425-47-8

No data on diesters are available.

A small amount of diethanolamine (2-5%) is present.

Consideration ragarding the conclusion of every endpoint is reported in every related IUCLID section.

Based on the information available and the evaluation of the measured pH (11.2 -11.6, 10 % in water), the intermediate PRODUCT L6143 is classified for the human health:

H314: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage, Category 1C.
