Description of key information

Additional information

Stability

In air, the substance is expected to be rapidly photodegraded by OH-radicals with a half-life of 4.15 h (BASF, 2011).

Hydrolysis is not expected due to the absence of hydrolysable groups.

Biodegradation

The substance is not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria), but biodegradable.

Bioaccumulation

Significant accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.

Transport and distribution

Adsorption to the solid soil phase is not expected.

No significant evaporation from the water surface into the atmosphere is expected.

Following Mackay Level I, over time the substance will preferentially distribute into the compartments water (89%) and air (11%). This model calculation refers to the uncharged molecule.
