Description of key information

The adsorption/desorption test was performed following the OECD Guideline 121 (Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (Koc) on Soil and on Sewage Sludge using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)).

Additional information

At pH 2 the log10 k′ for "A mixture of: thiobis(4,1-phenylene)-S,S,S',S'-tetraphenyldisulfonium bishexafluorophosphate; diphenyl(4-phenylthiophenyl)sulfonium hexafluorophosphate" was 0.0856 and 0.0558 for the 50 and 100 mg/L test concentrations respectively. Therefore, from the above equation, the estimated log10 KOC for "A mixture of: thiobis(4,1-phenylene)-S,S,S',S'-tetraphenyldisulfonium bishexafluorophosphate; diphenyl(4-phenylthiophenyl)sulfonium hexafluorophosphate" was 1.97 and 1.89 respectively.

At pH 10 the log10 k′ for the substance was 0.3844 and 0.3879 for the 50 and 100 mg/L test concentrations respectively. Therefore, from the above equation, the estimated log10 KOC for "A mixture of: thiobis(4,1-phenylene)-S,S,S',S'-tetraphenyldisulfonium bishexafluorophosphate; diphenyl(4-phenylthiophenyl)sulfonium hexafluorophosphate" was 2.20 and 2.21 respectively.

Temperature of the room in which the HPLC work was done ranged between 20.52 and 21.96°C.
