Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

A Daphnia Magna test and a fresh water algal growth inhibition test are available for a hazard assessment for the aquatic environment.

The criteria for the classification as an acute aquatic hazard category 1 is a 48h-EC50 for crustacea and a 72h-ErC50 for algae of less than 1 mg/l. On that basis, the test substance is not an acute (short-term) aquatic hazard.

The criteria for chronic toxicity category 3 is that the 48h-EC50 for crustacea and the 72h-ErC50 for algae is in the range of >10mg/l and ≤100mg/l. In addition, the substance should be not rapidly degradable and/or the experimentally determined BCF should be larger than 500. In case the BCF is absent, the log Kow should be larger than 4).

The 48h-EC50 for crustacea and the 72h-ErC50 for algae fall within the range of >10mg/l and ≤100mg/l. Although the log Kow of the test substance is 2.8, there is no long-term NOEC available. Hence, the substance is classified as chronic aquatic hazard category 3.

The test substance shows substantial biodegradation and is freely soluble. There is no evidence for bioaccumulation and the NOEC << water solubility.
