Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2012
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
Deviations:
not specified
Principles of method if other than guideline:
In accordance with Annex V of Directive 67/548/EEC OECD 104, density of the sample was measured
using the hydrostatic balance. The instrument used was the KRÜSS K11 Tensiometer. The measuring
probe of known density includes a cylindrical rod suspended on a wire hook which is immersed into the
sample liquid during analysis.
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
buoyancy method - hydrostatic balance
Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 0.827 g/cm³
Remarks on result:
other: The average density of Polycat 77 is 0.827 g/ml at 22.6 degrees C
Conclusions:
The average density of Polycat 77 is 0.827 g/ml at 22.6 C.
