MPCA ( Formaldehyde, polymer with benzenamine, hydrogenated) is poorly degraded in water, as demonstrated by inherent biodegradability and ready biodegradability assays, in addition to QSAR and read across to structurally similar substance. Based on the available data and regarding the chemical structure, a low potential for biodegradation in the environment is expected. Therefore, no further tests on biodegradation (simulation testing of biodegradation in sediments or soil) were performed because it is not expected that further testing will significantly change this assessment.
