After the experiments, the residue in the sample crucible was described as follows:

determination 1: Clear light brown film around the edge of the crucible base

determination 2: Light brown film, containing traces of solid, around the edge of the crucible base

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The melting temperature of PF-6 was determined to be 181 ± 1 °C (455 ± 1 K) using differential scanning calorimetry.
