Description of key information

The key study presented demonstrated no significant toxic effects to algae at concentrations up to 1000 mg/L. The established EC50 was >1000 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
1 000 mg/L

Additional information

A single key study is provided which concluded that Propoxylated neopentyl glycol

was not acutely toxic to algae at nominal concentrations up to 1000 mg/L. The 72h-EC50 was therefore considered to be >1000 mg/L.
