Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
19 January 2021 to 15 March 2021
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Batch/Lot No.: 021015
Purity: 50.0 % (w/w)
Expiry date: 24 November 2021

Key result
Water solubility:
> 1 000 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat. (dissolved fraction)
Loading of aqueous phase:
95 other: % (w/w)
Incubation duration:
24 h
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
>= 7.63 - <= 8.12
Details on results:
The standard EC A.6 / OECD 105 methodology was not applicable to this test item due to its miscibility with water. Therefore, a range of sample concentrations ranging from 5 to 95% w/w were prepared for visually assessment.
As the test item was noted to be fully dissolved in water at levels ranging from 5.32 to (at least) 50.0 % w/w of solution, it was considered that the water solubility of the test item was greater than 1000 g/kg of water.

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be greater than 1000 g/kg of water at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
