Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Dynamic viscosity of test material:
The two measurement results, which correspond well, and also the visual appearance of the test item indicated that the viscosity of the test item was low enough for determination by means of an oscillating densitometer.

Two tests were performed at 20 °C. The results are summarised in Table 1.

Table 1: Results of the two tests

Measurement

Density rP20 / g / cm3

1

1.2837

2

1.2837

Mean

1.28

Mean density rP20 for the two tests: 1.28 g/cm3

The results were within the accuracy range of the test method ( ± 0.01 g/cm³).

The two measurement results, which correspond well, and also the visual appearance of the test item indicated that the viscosity of the test item was low enough for determination by means of an oscillating densitometer.

Conclusions:
Relative Density (D20/4; OECD 109; A.3) = 1.28
Executive summary:

The relative density (D20/4) was determined compliant with GLP according to OECD TG 109 (2012) and EU method A.3 with the oscillating densitometer at 20 °C.
Two replicate determinations yielded identical results: density (20 °C) = 1.2837 g/cm^3.
The relative density (D20/4) of MAT-144 at 20 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) was determined to be 1.28.

Description of key information

Relative Density (D20/4; OECD 109; A.3) = 1.28

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.28
