Advice to doctor

Treatment

Rinse the affected eye with edible vegetable oil.

Wash the affected skin alternately with edible vegetable oil and with soap.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

water spray jet, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours:

Nitrous gases (NOx), Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Special protective equipment for firefighting

Use self-contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Wear suitable personal protective equipment.

Keep away sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions

Do not allow to enter drains or waterways

Methods for cleaning up/taking up

Pick up with binding agent (eg sand, sawdust). Rinse away rest with plenty of water or dilute acetic acid

Do not use chemical binders containing acids

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling

Open and handle container with care.

Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).

Further information on storage conditions

Keep container tightly closed

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Emergency eye wash fountain with clean water. Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation.

2. Hand protection: Chemically resistant protective gloves. Butyl rubber gloves. Neoprene or nitrile rubber gloves.

3. Eye protection: Chemical goggles or face shield.

4. Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing. Additional foot protection: working or safety shoes (e.g. rubber or plastic boots).

5. Respiratory protection: In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.

6. Environmental exposure controls: Avoid release to the environment.

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity

: The product is non-reactive under normal conditions of use, storage and transport.

2. Chemical stability

: Stable under normal conditions.

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions

: No hazardous reactions known under normal conditions of use.

4. Conditions to avoid

: No additional information available.

5. Incompatible materials

: Light metals (Al, Zn). Strong acids, strong bases and oxidation agents.

6. Hazardous decomposition products: Ammonia, Nitrogen oxides, Carbon oxides (CO and CO2), Hydrocarbons.

Disposal considerations

Collect all waste in suitable and labelled containers and dispose according to local legislation.
