Description of key information

FAT 40875/A TE was found to be low toxicity to aquatic species.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of FAT 40875/A TE was tested on the freshwater fish, Danio rerio (Zebrafish). This test was conducted in accordance with OECD test guideline 203 in a GLP certified laboratory. The NOEC (No Observed Effect Concentration) and LC50 for FAT 40875/A TE at 96 hours was higher than 100 mg test item/L based on nominal concentration.

The acute immobilization effect of the test item FAT 40875/A TE was studied on Daphnia magna according to OECD test guideline 202, in a GLP certified laboratory. The EC50 value for FAT 40875/A TE at 48 hours was found to be greater than 100 mg/L.

The effect of FAT 40875/A TE was tested on the growth of freshwater vascular aquatic plant, Lemna minor. This test was conducted in accordance with OECD test guideline 221, in a GLP certified laboratory. The NOEC for growth rate and yield (for frond number and dry weight) on the basis of the mean measured concentration of the test item was higher than 66.81 mg test item/L (nominal concentration of test item was 100 mg/L).
