The substance isobutyl laurate (CAS 37811-72-6) will not be present in the atmosphere and will not accumulate in natural waters. The substance is characterised by a low vapour pressure (0.02 Pa) and thus will not evaporate to the atmosphere. An accumulation in natural waters is unlikely due to the low water solubility of the substance. Abiotic degradation by hydrolysis is negligible according to the estimated half-live of the substance. Under environmental conditions the substance is expected to be mainly eliminated by biodegradation.
