The water solubility of the substance Fatty acids, C16 -18, 2 -hydroxyethyl esters (CAS 97281 -23 -7) was determined according OECD 105c olumn elution method applying 2 flow rates of 25 mL/h and 12.5 mL/h, respectively.
As the values for water solubility at a flow rate of 12.5 mL/h were below the limit of quantification 8(LOQ), the calculation of water solubility was done by the means of five successive fractions at a flow rate of 25 mL/h.
The results yielded a water solubility range of <5 µg/L to 6.25 µg/L with a formal mean value of ≤5 µg/L.
The LOQ was determined by signal to noise ratio (5:1) with the lowest calibration solution K3 = 5.530 µg/L. LOQ was set to 5 µg/L.
