Description of key information

2-year dietary exposure to 1400 (females) and 1750 (males) mg/kg bw was tolerated well (Preussmann 1985). The doses exceed the limit dose required for subacute and subchrnonic toxicity testing.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Repeated dose toxicity: via oral route - systemic effects

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed
Dose descriptor:
NOAEL

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

A valid study for subacute oral toxicity in rats is available. No adverse effects were observed at the limit dose of 1000 mg/kg bw. Therefore, no GHS classification is needed.
