Description of key information

The density of the phosphorus is 1.83 g/cm³ for the alpha form and 1.88 g/cm³ for the beta form.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Elemental phosphorus exists in many allotropic forms. The allotropic form of phosphorus contained in a matrix of alloying elements varies. Chemical structure of the alloys depends on several parameters such as alloying elements, pressure and temperature. The relative density of ferro-phosphorus lump was assessed around 6g/cm3.
