Description of key information

The acute toxicity of the test substance, TM 09-217 to fish was assessed according to OECD Test Guideline 203. Fish (Gobiocypris rarus; 7/dose) were exposed to nominal concentrations of 0.96, 1.7, 3.1, 5.6 and 10 mg/L under semi-static conditions for 96 hours with renewal of fresh made test water every 24h. The time-weighted mean measured concentrations were 0.621, 1.10, 2.24, 3.73 and 6.71 mg/L, respectively. The 96h LC50 value was 1.87 mg/L and 95 percent confidence limits ranged from 1.52 mg/L to 2.30 mg/L (based on time-weighted mean measured concentrations). The maximum time-weighted mean measured concentration causing no mortality and the minimum time-weighted mean measured concentration causing 100 percent mortality within the period of the test was 1.10 mg/L and 3.73 mg/L, respectively.
