Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

HiTEC 7134 performance additive is a reaction product of aminoguanidine bicarbonate (AGBC) and tall oil fatty acid (TOFA), and is intended to be used as a lubricant and as a component in lubricant additives.. HiTEC 7134 is not readily biodegradable, only 27% biodegradation was achieved after 28 days of exposure in a 301D test. Based on component date TOFA are readily biodegradable and AGBC showed up to 38% degradation in a 302 series test, therefore HiTEC 7134 performance additive should not be persistent. HiTEC 7134 is not readily biodegradable and is hydrolytically stable, with an estimated half-life of more than 1 year at 25 °C.

No tests were conducted to determine the bioconcentration factor of HiTEC 7134, however the log Pow of 6.4 to 7.6 indicates poor solubility of the substance and based on QSAR estimates for the components TOFA (BCF = 56) and AGBC (BCF =3) the potential for bioaccumulation should be low .

Due to a considerably low vapour pressure (0.02 KPa) and high Log Koc value (4.26-4.44), it is predicted that HiTEC 7134 will not volatize (in case of an eventual discharge) and will bind to the organic matter in the soils, sediments or sludge.
