Administrative data

Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the explosive properties (required in 7.11) was not performed because the are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecular structure. An expert statement rather than a full study was considered sufficient to cover this eindpoint. The statement was written following the EC A.14 and UN guidelines, and under GLP.

Expert statement:
A test substance is considered explosive when it can react to produce very rapid increases in temperature or pressure. None of the components of the test substance contains chemical groups which are associated with explosive properties.
