Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
December 1992
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
1.82 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
19.5 °C
pH:
2.9
Details on results:
The preliminary test showed a water solubility above 10 mg/l, thus the flask method was selected for the main study.
In the main study it was demonstrated that the aqueous solutions were completely saturated with test substance.
Conclusions:
The flask method was chosen for the determination of the water solubility of the test substance. The water solubility at 19.5°C +/- 0.6°C was 1.82 g/L. The pH of the aqueous samples after 72 hours stirring was 2.9.

Description of key information

The flask method was chosen for the determination of the water solubility of the test substance. The water solubility at 19.5°C +/- 0.6°C was 1.82 g/L. The pH of the aqueous samples after 72 hours stirring was 2.9.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1.82 g/L
at the temperature of:
19.5 °C
