First-aid measures

General: CAUTION! First aid personnel must be aware of own risk during rescue!  

Description of first aid measures

Inhalation: move to fresh air.

Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water after work.  

Ingestion: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor/.../if you feel unwell. Rinse mouth.  

Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.  

Special hazards arising rom the substance or mixture: During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.

Advice for firefighters

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Use personal protective equipment. Put on protective equipment before entering danger area.  

Environmental Precautions:

Do not contaminate water sources or sewer. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb spill with vermiculite or other inert material, then place in a container for chemical waste. Dike far ahead of larger spill for later recovery and disposal.

Reference to other sections: Dike for later disposal. Prevent entry into waterways, sewer, basements or confined areas. Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk.
