Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Details on study design: HPLC method:
EQUIPMENT
- Apparatus:
- Type: UPLC
- Type, material and dimension of analytical (guard) column: Acquity UPLC HSS Cyano, 100 mm x 2.1 mm i.d., dp = 1.8 µm
- Detection system: UV set at 210 nm

MOBILE PHASES
- Type: 55/45 (v/v) methanol/water
- Experiments with additives carried out on separate columns: no additives used
- pH: neutral
- Solutes for dissolving test and reference substance (formamide): stock solutions in methanol, diluted to 55/45 (v/v) methanol/water

DETERMINATION OF DEAD TIME
- Method: by inert substances which are not retained by the column (formamide)

REFERENCE SUBSTANCES
- Identity and known logKoc values: not applicable, the test item eluted before the unretained compound

DETERMINATION OF RETENTION TIMES
- Quantity of test and reference substances introduced in the column (μg):
Test substance: 0.05 and 0. µg
Formamide (internal deadtime standard): not reported

REPETITIONS
- Number of determinations: one

EVALUATION
Comparison of retention times
Key result
Type:
log Koc
Value:
>= 7.1 dimensionless

Koc HPLC Method

The test item eluted before the unretained compound, indicating that it does not interact with the stationary phase of the column and is possibly excluded from the pores of the stationary phase (see background material "S-930 - Figures Adsorption oefficient.pdf"). The adsorption coefficient cannot be estimated using the HPLC method.

Koc QSAR Method

An estimated log Pow of ≥ 8.7 was used based on the water solubility and a visual n-octanol solubility test.

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not applicable

Description of key information

log Koc : ≥ 7.1 (calculated based on log Pow)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

log Koc ≥ 7.1
