Conclusions:
In an experiment for autoignition temperature (liquids), a final value of 218 °C at 1010 hPa was determined for 2-butoxyethyl methacrylate.
Executive summary:

An experiment was undertaken in line with ASTM E659-14 (Standard Test Method for Autoignition Temperature of Liquid Chemicals) to ascertain the autoignition temperature (liquids) for 2-butoxyethyl methacrylate. The lowest internal flask temperature at which hot-flame autoignition occurred in air was 218 °C at an atmospheric pressure of 1010 hPa. The auto-flammability temperature of 2-butoxyethyl methacrylate was therefore 218 °C.

Description of key information

An autoignition temperature (liquids) of 218 °C was determined for 2-butoxyethyl methacrylate at an atmospheric pressure of 1010 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
218 °C

Additional information

The endpoint conclusion is considered to be a key value for use in chemical safety assessment. Given that it was obtained in line with ASTM E659-14 (Standard Test Method for Autoignition Temperature of Liquid Chemicals) without reported deviation, a Klimisch score of 1 (reliable without restriction) has been assigned.
