Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

General Population - Hazard via inhalation route

Systemic effects

Long term exposure

Value:
0.34 mg/m³
Most sensitive endpoint:
repeated dose toxicity
Route of original study:
Oral
DNEL related information
DNEL derivation method:
ECHA REACH Guidance
Overall assessment factor (AF):
50
Dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEC
Value:
17 mg/m³
Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:

Due to lack of route specific information for

inhalation, further extrapolation may be made from

the oral NOAEL. A default factor of 2 has been

applied assuming that half of the applied dose would

be absorbed via the oral route compared to the

inhalation route according to the current guidance

document (R8, ECHA 2008). A conservative NOAEC

for the general population may be derived according

to the procedure recommended in the guidance

document (R8, ECHA 2008). NOAEC corrected

inhalation (general population) =

40*(1/1.15)*(50/100) = 17mg/mg3. An assessment

factor (AF) of 50 may be used. Interspecies:

allometric scaling = 1; remaining differences = 2.5.

Intraspecies = 10. Exposure duration = 2. Doseresponse

= 1. Quality of data = 1.
