In an OECD 301A DOC die-away test sodium isobutyrate solution was found to be radily biodegradable with 100% DOC removal by day 28 and 94% removal within the 10 -day window.Hence, sodium isobutyrate solution is considered to be readily biodegradable and can be expected to degrade rapidly within the environment. As the test substance was shown to be readily biodegradable no further biodegradability testing was considered necessary.
